It was a difficult start to the season losing the likes of Gav Smith, Graham Abbiss & Craig Forbes, all 3 being players that can make a difference in the middle of the park – but all 3 are nearly ready to make full returns to the squad. Since the start of the season we have had little chance to train, and when we have, we’ve not had a ‘full’ attendance, which I know is frustrating the coaches. I do feel however that we are creating many chances, more than the opposition in most cases, but we are not making the most of them, which is very puzzling when you look at the strikers we have at our disposal.
I think we can all see that we are not playing our best football at the moment and that performances could be better – but we’re still in the top half a dozen and if we can start getting it right then I’m sure we’ll still be in contention at the run-in.
