F.A.O. CraigDan Ludlow out with groin strain so went with a 4-3-3 formation. Created numerous chances in the 1st half but failed to find the back of the net. Gornal scored with a through ball that split the defence and Checketts finished well. Came out 2nd half and was awarded a penalty which the out of sorts Pako took, but the keeper saved well. We continued with wave after wave of attacks, peppering the Gornal goal and were rewarded with another typical brave Carter goal. Brought Russell Godfrey on and changed to a 3-5-2 formation which paid dividends with Russell supplying a low cross to the back post which Lewi ran into the back of the net.
Not a sparkling performance and we probably deserved the victory just through the shear amount of attacking play we had, but take nothing away from Gornal, they defended well and counter-attacked well and probably felt they deserved something out of the game.
