Blowich gameWell it has been along time since we have tasted the bitterness of a defeat and I hope that the players and management respond to this in a positive manner.
The league title is ours to loose, not our right to claim. It takes a long hard season to win the league with a bit of luck on the way.
The game against Bloxwich was an absolute disaster, the defending was shocking at times and as defenders go they have to stand up and take responsibility for schoolboy errors, the keeper needs protecting and this means that defenders have to have the discipline to hold their line and not go bombing forward and leaving huge defensive holes at the back, yes the keeper needs to take control of the back four.
When we play our passing game and get the ball out wide I don’t think that there is a team in this league that can cope with the pressure that we put them under, so I ask the question, why are the players not playing simple football, play what you see?
Now for the forwards, I know Burgess is out (bad back from picking up his wallet) so again the question to ask is why is Adam sat on the bench? Prior to this game Adam has come on as sub and scored three goals and at any other club he would have started the next game, especially with the other striker out injured.
We can still win the league but the hard work has to start now, the cup game on Tuesday is our chance to put things right. We have had a great season so far, lets make it a special one and earn what you worked hard to get, its ours so lets go and get it, every game is a must win.
This season could go down in club history as the best ever squad, be part of it, want it, believe in yourselves, you all deserve to win but you have to work for it.
